One V. Surendar, 28, of Thanthonrimalai received a phone call a few days ago. The caller introduced himself as Murugan, Sub Inspector from Tambaram crime police station and said Surendar is involved in Pornography and there are summons against him. The victim was told to pay Rs 5000 to prevent arrest, which he paid. Later the extortionists called again to demand money else he would be linked to the pornographic filming gang. Now Surendra got suspecious and reported the matter to cybercrime cell, Karur district. The team arrested four teenagers in Vadavalli in Coimbatore. They were said to have indulged in similar crimes in Coimbatore, Tiruchi and Erode.
