A company Director got mislead by man-in-middle attack, where hacker got in between two companies and relayed their emails. Once trust got established, change of bank account details was requested b hacker followed by Rs 44.43 lakhs was asked to be transfer for legitimate a trade.

The company director, however, realized that the account number was wrong. After verifying from his partner, he alerted on Cybervrime.gov.in helpline number 1930.

The concerned bank was immediately told, and amount was frozen, because transaction was within golden hours. After further verification the defrauded amount was returned to the victim company.
